Problem:

The demand for hydrocarbon processing products is increasing, while light hydrocarbon reserves are depleting. The production of heavy marine fuel requires significant costs for adding expensive light petroleum products.

Solution:

DYNATECH developed a hydrodynamic complex based on TCH technology with a capacity of 1200 barrels per day. This complex reduces the volume of added diluents in the production of heavy marine fuel, lowers its pour point, and improves its adaptability to low temperatures.

Result and impact

In 2022, an automated TCH technology-based fuel oil processing complex was commissioned at the Girardot refinery in Medellin, Colombia. This led to a 12% reduction in diesel fuel addition, significantly lowering the final product's cost and making the production process more environmentally friendly.
